Well balanced package of flavors, very smooth and creamy with adequate salt to tie it all together. I kept coming back to this brand my entire time in Thailand; I was always happy to see it on the shelf, and if the store had it, I bought it.

Much less soylike than the bottled ‘Double Choco’— but this version has a slight sweetness as its only discernible flavor. No chocolate to be found.

Strong creamy flavor that pairs well with the silky smoothness and thin viscosity. Adequately sweet, not super chocolaty, but also absent is the nutty flavor of the fresh Foremost Chocolate version.

A nutty chocolate flavor which is not overpowering. Quite sweet, thin, and smooth— goes down easily but with an almost hazlelnutty bent.

Awful from the start. The only flavor is a nasty, fake-tasting sweetener that they don't even try to cover up with anything else. Avoid.

Much smoother than other Ovaltine products, but there’s not much aside from a pleasant brown sweetness. It's not offensive, but gives little incentive to continue.

Same fortified / metallic sort of taste as the fresh version with less of a fake-malty flavor. More enjoyable only because the strong flavor is less pronounced.

Still had the ‘quickly dissipating taste’ issue of the fresh version, though to what seemed to be a lesser extent. Overall felt just a bit more enjoyable this time around.

Much chalkier than the fresh version, and no semblance of Dairy Queen here. However, the cocoa flavor is very good, the creaminess is strong, and it gets better with each sip.

Tastes like a soy product, or some other type of non-milk product. Chalky and understated sweetness, it’s not offensive for what it is. But I’m not sure what it is.

Noticeably soy, but certainly better than some other chocolate soy milks I’ve had in the past. Metallic and only slightly twangy, the soy hits you abruptly in the aftertaste.

Insanely sweet and fake-seeming malt flavor is too much for even my immature palate.

Straightforward chocolate malt taste that one would expect, adequately chocolaty and creamy for a decently thin and smooth texture.

Scent and flavor uncannily reminiscent of Dairy Queen chocolate ice cream. Could use a stronger salt quotient, but still a pretty flavorful (and sentimental) experience.

Vitamin-y smell and twang. Sweeter and malty, not a strong cocoa presence at all. Tasty enough for what it is, but a bit distant from what chocolate milk should be.

The taste fades too quickly— almost like there’s a wateriness to it that causes the flavor to exit right away. Easy to send down the hatch, but left with a “for what?” feeling.
