Tons thinner than you’d expect from this packaging (often used for milkshakes) and it nails the high-cream-to-low-viscosity ratio that is one of my top criteria for a high score. The cocoa flavor is strongly sour, and interacts well with the cream, bringing you a very mature and indulgent feel that is refreshing in a world of over-emulsified, candy-sweet drinks.
Super dark, very chalky, but also decently chocolaty. The flavor is much better than the texture— which is downright sludgy the closer you get to the bottom. The last few ‘sips’ will require mandibular employ.
Mostly sweet with a strong maltiness throughout, but the lack of cream left me unfulfilled and caused the experience to feel a tad empty. Still, accurately captures the Maltesers candy aura, though fans of the candy will most likely prefer the original format.
Candylike chocolate flavor is a super-emulsified texture that feels unnatural. There’s no salt quotient at all (which is essential in a milkshake) so it just goes way too far in the sweet/thick direction.
Chalky and less sweet, the cocoa flavor is not held back by the supporting cast. It’s got a powdery feel, but the chocolate taste is decently authentic and overall a competent drink.
Much more sour than the Schoko version, and has a burnt kettle corn flavor that is not a viable substitute for chocolate. It smells a lot like a brownie, but tastes nothing like one— at least a decent brownie.
Has a fruity twang that is a signature Mullermilch flavor (butterscotch / butter rum Lifesaver). It’s super sweet, and has a pleasant consistency (more dense than thick), but the chocolate flavor is a bit too weird.
Similar to Leichter Genuss in that it's nicely creamy but under-chocolaty. However, in this case, the salt comes through a little stronger and enhances the cream, making it slightly more enjoyable despite less prominent cocoa.
Thin, fairly creamy, and a pleasant experience that improves with each sip. There's a satisfying simplicity to it that maintains your attention and prevents you from lusting after something with more apparent pizzazz.
Pudding-like consistency, phony chocolate flavor. Two wrongs don't make a right— my only hesitation for pouring this down the drain is the chance that it will clog.
Darker, and a bit of a more sour cocoa flavor that is stronger than its Schokolade counterpart. It's also sweeter, but it's well tempered by the darker cocoa taste.
Drinkable chocolate milk, especially due to the low viscosity. It’s averagely sweet, salty, and creamy, and nothing feels out of place— just may feel a touch watery to some.
Creamy and a touch on the bland side, but still enjoyable. The texture feels ‘milky’-- and the sweetness and cocoa feels authentic, just not prominent.
Manages to deliver a deep chocolate flavor, perhaps slightly on the ‘powdery’ end of the spectrum, but all elements work together to deliver a solid chocolate milk experience that is well worth your pocket change.
Incredibly thin, and still maintains a decently authentic flavor despite the watery texture. Much better than the Immergut Kakao I sampled in Frankfurt that had slightly different make up and stats. It’s cheap, adequately chocolaty, and drinkable in a pinch (considering the low calorie content).
Solidly average pretty much across the board. There's no deviation from expectations, everything feels in the right place. I'd enjoy it a bit more if it were less viscous, especially when siphoning it out of the box.
Unbelievably strong cocoa taste, I feel like I got a buzz from the first sip! There’s such a strong component of raw cocoa here that the bitterness comes through as well. It’s not very sweet, and it is extremely thick— what a unique drink this is!
Seemingly much improved (thinner) viscosity from the version I had in Frankfurt— paired with an excellent creamy quality and a mature cocoa flavor that feels like it belongs.
So incredibly brown that it's almost red-- feels like it's staining my teeth immediately upon consumption. Kinda worth it though-- it has a super strong cocoa flavor and a minute amount of sweetness (tastes a lot less sweet than the 8.8g sugar/100mL would suggest). It's also the first chocolate milk product I’ve had that is caffeinated (guarana). In short, this is memorable and should be sought out for fans of super dark chocolate.
Thick, metallic, nasty. Like drinking the blood of someone who just did crossfit. No salt, and a bit too much sweet-- this should be avoided.
